FrostWire Review (Updated 2012)

FrostWire is a free BitTorrent downloader that uses the BitTorrent network and cloud services to share files. You can use FrostWire to send digital files or folders online and to download and upload digital content. FrostWire uses code from now-defunct LimeWire, so there’s a lot of similarity between the two. The user interface and functions are the same, except that LimeWire was green and FrostWire is blue.
There are some differences: Gnutella was dropped from the latest version of FrostWire, and it mainly supports BitTorrent searching and sharing. Gnutella features are still available to some degree, but it has been removed from the spotlight. Users now download torrents (mostly) instead of actual playable files, making FrostWire like other torrent clients such as Vuze and uTorrrent.
While not the best-rated and most popular torrent client on the market, FrostWire has a solid number of followers (many of them LimeWire fans). Reviews are generally positive, and the program gets votes for fast download speed, usability and extra features (chat rooms, media player, online radio).
